What This Tool Does
This tool lists every file inside an archive across many formats, showing an on-page preview and offering the complete listing as a downloadable text file for large archives.
Supported formats include ZIP, 7Z, RAR, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, CAB, ISO and ZIP-based packages. The listing reads the archive index only, so it is fast and does not extract anything.
What the Report Shows
- A preview of the entry list with sizes.
- Total file count for the archive.
- A download link for the full listing as a text file.
Step by Step
- 1
Upload the archive.
- 2
Click List Files.
- 3
Review the preview listing.
- 4
Download the full listing when needed.
How It Works
The archive engine produces a listing of entries with sizes, which is previewed on the page and written to a text file for download. All measurements come from the archive directory.
Troubleshooting
- Unsupported formats are rejected with a clear message.
- Damaged archives may fail before the listing can be produced.
- Encrypted entries still appear in the name listing for most formats.
