What This Tool Does
This tool shows the structure of a ZIP file as a folder tree. Each entry is placed under its parent directory so you can see at a glance how the archive is organized, how deep it goes, and where large groups of files live.
The tree rendering is capped for very large archives, and the report always includes the total entry count so you know when a preview is summarized.
What the Report Shows
- An indented tree of all folders and files.
- Folder and file counts.
- A note when the on-page tree is limited to the first entries.
Step by Step
- 1
Upload the ZIP.
- 2
Click View Structure.
- 3
Read the folder tree in the results panel.
How the Tree Is Built
Each entry path is split into its folders and file name, then folded into a tree so folders appear exactly once even when they hold many files. The order follows the path order recorded in the archive.
Troubleshooting
- Very large ZIPs show a capped preview with the full count noted.
- Damaged archives may interrupt the listing; repair first.
- Empty folders recorded in the archive appear as tree nodes.
