What This Tool Does
This tool shows what is inside a ZIP file: every entry with its detected type, size and modification time, plus a text preview of text-like files read from inside the archive. It is the fastest way to inspect content without extracting it yourself.
Text previews are truncated to a sensible size so you can identify files quickly without the page carrying huge content.
What the Report Shows
- Every entry with its detected type (text, image, archive and more).
- Entry sizes and modification timestamps.
- A short text preview for editable text entries.
- Entry count and preview truncation notes.
Step by Step
- 1
Upload the ZIP.
- 2
Click View Content.
- 3
Scan the entry table and text previews.
How Previews Are Made
Text-type entries are read in small slices from the archive and decoded. Binary and large entries are simply labeled, never dumped to the page. This keeps the report readable and the load bounded by the platform controls.
Troubleshooting
- Encrypted entries cannot show text previews without the password.
- Very large ZIPs are summarized after the entry cap.
- Unusual encodings may display as replacement characters in previews.
