What This Tool Does
This tool converts an RPM package into a ZIP archive. RPM is the package format used by Red Hat based Linux systems, and this converter extracts the package payload with a real archive engine and repacks the files into a plain ZIP.
You get the installed files in ordinary ZIP form, easy to inspect on any machine, independent of RPM tooling.
How It Works
The RPM is opened, its payload archive is extracted entry by entry, and each file is written into a new ZIP. The ZIP is reopened to confirm the entries before the download link appears.
Step by Step
- 1
Upload the RPM package.
- 2
Click Convert to ZIP.
- 3
Wait for extraction and repacking.
- 4
Download your ZIP.
Compatibility
- Standard RPM payloads (cpio) are supported.
- The extracted file layout is preserved in the ZIP.
- Output is a standard ZIP readable everywhere.
Troubleshooting
- Files that are not readable RPM structures are rejected.
- Legacy or exotic RPM variants may fail; the error explains the cause.
- The ZIP is content, not an installable package.
